This Victorian mansion was the former residence of noted evangelist Samuel Porter Jones and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house museum showcases artifacts and memorabilia from Mr. Jones as well as Rebecca Latimer Felton, noted as the first woman to serve in the United States Senate. Located downtown, the museum is south of the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Tours offered Tues. - Fri. 10:00 a.m. - noon; 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Adults $4; Students $2
Most deffinatly something you wanna see. It's a beautiful home with lovely landscape. If you're in the area, I would deffinatly recomend visiting; especially during spring/summer. It's absolutly beautiful. You will not be disappointed.
